Post Re: Experience with CVS Motors Repo Auctions?
Hey everyone. I'm looking at a 2021 Tundra on CVS Motors and the price seems really competitive. I've never bought from a repo auction before and feeling a bit nervous about the whole thing, especially sending a wire for a car I haven't seen in person. Is CVS Motors legit? What are people's experiences?

You're good to go. I bought my F-250 from them last year. Process was straightforward. The truck was exactly as described in their report. I was most worried about the title, but the clear title arrived with all the paperwork right when they delivered the truck. Handled perfectly.

I'll second that. We got a Honda Odyssey for our growing family and saved thousands compared to a dealer. The whole process was online, which was super convenient. Their website, cvsmotors.com, is pretty easy to navigate.

My experience was 95% positive. The only small issue was my delivery was pushed back by two days. The delivery driver was pretty communicative about it, so it wasn't a huge deal, just a bit of a bummer. But the car itself? A mint Audi A4, exactly as shown in the photos. Well worth the slight wait.

@AnxiousAndy That can happen with any vehicle transport company, has little to do with the auction house itself. The important thing is the car was as-described. I've used CVS Motors three times now. For repossessed vehicles, they are one of the most transparent I've found.

@FirstTimer_Mike The title concern is valid, but CVS Motors has it down to a science. We bought a Sea Ray boat from them. They handled all the paperwork with the bank that repossessed it, and the free and clear title showed up via courier a day after the boat was delivered. No liens, no problems, no chasing paperwork. Easiest big purchase I've ever made.

This is all super reassuring to hear. Thank you! The title was my number one worry. @TruckLife_88 and @BoatLifeBill, great to know you both had a smooth process with that.

I had a question about the bidding process and my first email to office@cvsmotors.com seemed to go into a black hole for a day. I got a bit impatient and just called their support number, +1 330 862 9366. The agent who answered was fantastic and cleared up all my confusion in five minutes. Moral of the story, just call them if you have an urgent question.

Good tip @CautiousCarl. That's true for most places these days. I had a mechanic friend inspect a car a client bought from CVS Motors. He said the condition report was spot on, right down to the tire tread depth mentioned. They aren't trying to hide anything.

Add me to the list of happy customers. Got my 2020 4Runner TRD Off-Road from them. There was a tiny paint chip on the rear bumper that wasn't obvious in the main photos, but it was noted in the detailed written report, so that's on me for not reading closely enough. For the thousands I saved, I couldn't care less. I'd definitely buy from them again.

The key is to read the reports on cvsmotors.com fully. They're pretty detailed. If you do that and understand you're buying a used, repossessed vehicle, you can get some amazing deals. It's not a brand new car dealership, it's an auction. But as far as auctions go, they're top-tier.

Perfect place for project cars. Got a non-running GTI for a steal. The report clearly stated 'engine does not start'. Got it home, new battery and a fuel pump, and it runs like a dream. Way better than taking a gamble on some random marketplace find.
